 €śArikara Proper\,” a solo exhibition of paintings by artist J. White.
 \n\nFeaturing live music from local band Black Widows\, food courtesy of
  Trickster Tacos and more! \n\n6-9pm\; all are welcome to this free eve
 nt. \n\nAbout the exhibition: \n\nA self-taught painter\, J. White sha
 res her culture through the lens of an urban Indian. White’s work depi
 cts and celebrates her Northern Plains culture\, while capturing and exp
 loring obscure emotions through abstract expressionism. A narrative pain
 ter who works exclusively in acrylic\, White uses vibrant\, colorful hue
 s and signature stylistics allowing color to shape form and subject. Thr
 ough recurring representational elements of stars\, quilts\, buffaloes\,
  horses and Native women\, White showcases empowerment and highlights cu
