Carla has the gift of storytelling. She 1st shared her story of why she trained to run the NYC marathon at age 50 in 2022 to Runner’s World and Forbes magazines. She primarily has writen about her spiritual journey and finding yoga while working as a respiratory therapist during the pandemic. Carla has innumerable stories waiting to be heard from her experience of being a female Army veteran and relearning her Anishinabe culture after growing up without her culture. She joined the Native Author Program to learn how to share her stories. She is also an Alternative healer which she also learned through the pandemic.
