Therese Stanton
Therese Stanton was awarded a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Award. She is the recipient of the Avery Hopwood Award, The Rona Jaffe Foundation Writing Award, The Rackham Merit Fellowship, Hedgbrook, The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation and The Native American Writers fellowship at the Vermont Writing Studio.
Her book Appearing All Along, Always, Still, and Always, Still, and Forever is part of “The Real Real” travelling art show curated by Claudia Rankine currently showing in museums and galleries throughout Europe.
Her work has been published in many journals, anthologies, and magazines, including It Starts with Hope: Writing and Images of Hope Donated to the Center for Victims of Torture, A Public Space, and Meridian. Therese was born in Mendota, Minnesota, and lives with her wife in Minneapolis.
